Ute Water has a position open for a Treatment Plant Superintendent.  This position is responsible for the daily operation of the Treatment Plant, staff and safety issues.  The position is also responsible for development and implementation of the daily operational shift schedules and maintenance work schedules.  Also, development and implementation of a computerized database driven preventative maintenance program, daily and emergency maintenance programs, development and implementation of conservation plans, and review and implementation of safety audits findings are required.  The position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in water plant operation, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or a directly related field, plus five (5) years experience as a Plant Operator, Water Lab Director and three years of management or supervisory experience;  or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must possess a Colorado Class A Plant Operator certification and be thoroughly knowledgeable in the operation, maintenance and repair of equipment used in the water treatment process. Must be proficient in MS Office and familiar with hydrology, pneumatics, chemistry and instrumentation.  If qualified, complete a Ute Water application at 2190 H 1/4 Road or www.utewater.org.  Applications accepted through 7/19.
