PRESENTER PORTAL

WE COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU

You've heard the Western Colorado Children's Water Festival committee say it countless times, but as we reflect on the festivals we've missed in the past couple of years, we miss connecting with you - our presenters - and genuinely understand that the Western Colorado Children's Water Festival is not possible without the dedication, commitment, and resources that our presenters devote to this event each year. Thank you for considering the idea of participating in the virtual festival for our 2021 Western Colorado Children's Water Festival.

This page was designed to help provide information about participating virtually in this year's festival. Should you still have questions, please feel free to contact the steering committee.

IMPORTANT DATES

PARTICIPATING AS A VIRTUAL PRESENTER

When we reached out to educators about the possibility of a virtual Water Festival, many of them were extremely grateful to have resources and materials to share with their learners. There are many variations of ways to adapt or modify the presentation your organization brings to the in-person festival to be replicated or adjusted so that classes can follow along in the comfort of their classroom. For an example of how presentations can be adjusted, click here.

If you're interested in presenting virtually, we just need a couple things from you:

REGISTER YOUR

PRESENTATION

Just as you would register your presentation for the in-person festival, we are kindly asking all presenters who are interested in providing virtual resources to let us know by filling out a registration by April 21th, 2021.

Submit your registration here.

DEVELOP

RESOURCES

Whether it's filming your existing presentation, adjusting the hands-on activity, or compiling instructions and lesson plans, any participating from your organization is appreciated.

If you need assistance in filming or adjusting your current presentation, please contact Andrea.

SUBMIT YOUR RESOURCES

Please upload your presentation materials in the "Upload Your Materials" section. Please submit all videos, recordings, handouts, and other supporting documents. Submissions will be accepted until April 30th, 2021.

If your file is too big to upload, please use WeTransfer to submit your file.

FILMING TIPS

  1. If you're using a phone to record your presentation, it is suggested to record horizontally. That way, we can see all the great aspects of your presentation!

  2. Phones have some of the best microphones. If you're using a camera or another device to capture the visual aspects of your presentation, placing a phone or voice recorder near you may help pick up the audio just in case the camera doesn't record quality audio.

  3. Some agencies have set up multiple cameras or devices at different angles to not only focus on the presenter, but also to get clear, up-close shots of the presentation materials.

  4. If you need any help recording or editing your presentation, or if you need to borrow some video equipment, please contact the committee. We'd be happy to help!
