Q 3/4 Road and 10 Road Waterline Installation Project 

The District is installing approximately 5,700 feet of 4-inch waterline on Q ¾ Road from 10 Road to 10 ½ Road, and from 10 ½ Road to R Road. The District’s Utility Maintenance department will begin construction the week of November 24, 2025. The project is estimated to be completed in January.

During this project, there is a potential for intermittent road closures. These road closures will be advertised in accordance with Mesa County’s policy before the closure. Please see the map below for details on potential road closures. Access to all residences will remain open throughout the duration of the project. Construction hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Several planned water service outages may occur during the project to ensure safety and to complete necessary water service connections. Reverse notifications are the primary method used to inform customers about these planned outages. Please make sure your phone number is current on your account by contacting the District. Outage information is also available on our website at utewater.org/outages or by visiting the Outage Center.

The District takes great pride in leaving work sites clean following the completion of a project. Surface restoration for this project is tentatively scheduled for completion in early spring.

20 1/2 Road and I Road Waterline Improvement Project 

The District will install 2,000 feet of 2-inch waterline at 31 3/4 Road, north of B 1/2 Road, to improve the District's distribution system. Traffic control will be utilized for this project.

31 3/4 Road Waterline Improvement Project 

The District will install 900 feet of 2-inch waterline extensions at 31 3/4 Road, north of B 1/2 Road. The purpose of the project is to improve the District's distribution system. Traffic control will be utilized for this project.

Four Canyons Parkway Project - Phase 2 

The District will coordinate with the City of Grand Junction's efforts to construct a new traffic corridor along F 1/2 Road (Four Canyons) from 24 1/2 Road to 25 Road to install new water infrastructure. The District will install 3,550 feet of new 12-inch C900 PVC to replace the 12-inch AC pipe along 25 Road and new fire hydrants. Construction is anticipated to start in late July 2025.

Monument Valley Pump Station Project - South Camp Road 

PROJECT UPDATE (11/12/2025)

Crews have completed the installation of the water line infrastructure along South Camp Road, and the pump station building is now in progress. Asphalt patching is expected in the next few weeks.

PROJECT UPDATE (10/15/25)

Crews are nearing completion of the water line infrastructure along South Camp Road. Several planned outages have been scheduled for the week of October 20th to allow crews to install infrastructure safely. Visit our Outage Center for more details. 

PROJECT UPDATE (9/25/25)

The construction of the pump station building has begun. Crews are nearing completion of the water line infrastructure along South Camp Road.

PROJECT UPDATE (9/11/25)

Crews will be installing infrastructure at the intersection of Dakota Drive and South Camp Road on Thursday, September 11th. South Camp Road will remain open, but will be down to one lane. Dakota Drive will remain open with a modified traffic pattern, but it is suggested to access Dakota Drive through East Dakota Drive.

The District will be installing a new pump station and water line to improve the District’s distribution system operations in the high-elevation areas of the Redlands. As part of this project, an additional water line will need to be installed to connect the District’s current system to the new infrastructure. The District’s Utility Maintenance department will begin construction the week of August 4th. The project is estimated to be completed in late December.

There may be several planned water service outages during the project to ensure the safety of those working on the project and to connect water services to the new water line. Customers impacted by planned water outages will be notified at least 24 hours before the outage is scheduled to take place. Our primary form of communication directly with customers is reverse phone calls and/or text messages. Customers are encouraged to reach out to the District to verify that their contact information is updated. 

Southside Transmission Main Waterline Replacement Project - Schedule H 

PROJECT UPDATE (11/19/2025)

Replacement work for this project will begin in the Sobre El Rio area within the next few weeks. Please refer to the attached map for details on how this work may affect the neighborhood. Access to all residences will remain open throughout the project. Construction will take place during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Please refer to the map below for details on how this work may affect your neighborhood.

The District has contracted with Sunroc Construction to replace approximately 11,000 feet of 24-inch concrete pipe with 30-inch welded steel pipe, from 36 ¾ Road and E Road to Sobre El Rio Subdivision and Aldrea Vista Court.

West Morrison Court Waterline Replacement Project 

Ute Water Conservancy District is replacing approximately 1,600 feet of 8-inch water line on West Morrison Court. The District’s Utility Maintenance department will begin construction the week of March 24, 2025. The project is estimated to be completed in late April.

During this project, materials will be delivered to the site and stored accordingly. The asphalt will be milled as part of the process. Work will begin in the cul-de-sac and progress towards Dakota Drive. Access to residences will be maintained at all times. Construction hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Ute Water crews will be performing maintenance on the north side of the Morrison and Dakota intersection on Thursday, May 1. During this time, access to Morrison Court will be available only from East Dakota between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Please refer to the map below for information regarding the detour. The detour is anticipated to last one (1) business day.
